The EHR Handbook was written to assist in the process of assessing your practice for, shopping for, purchasing, and Implementing an EHR /PM System. The majority of unnecessary technical terms have been left out, helping the consumer understand the process. The more informed of the process, the more the consumer can focus on preparation, how to stay on budget, a structured timeline, and avoiding surprise costs and risks.

A real disappointment

I got this book thinking it would be a simple, quick read that would be good for our non-techie staff (we are looking to implement an EHR). Unfortunately, it is so poorly written and so poorly presented that I won't be passing it on to anyone. The poor grammer, improper use of capital letters (the word Physician is always spelled with a capital P), and lack of proofreading (example: throughout the book, she uses the word "and" when it should be "an") take away from any real information the book may have. Each individual sentence on every page is centered (rather than block or even left-justified), unlike any book I have ever seen, which makes reading just that much more painful. And the material is so simplistic, it just doesn't add anything beyond the obvious. An unfortunate waste of time and money.
